Terms of use

Hisaab and Hisaab Lite · Effective 7 October 2026
Hisaab is run by HISAAB, a micro enterprise registered under Udyam, Mumbai, Maharashtra · hisaabhai.in

What Hisaab is

Hisaab helps you keep track of money coming in and going out, udhaar and bills. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not make payments, hold money, give loans, or give financial, tax or legal advice.

Check your numbers

Hisaab reads SMS, bank statements and bill photos automatically, and that reading can be wrong: an amount, payee, date or category may be misread, or a message may be missed or counted twice. Check entries before you rely on them for decisions, taxes, GST filings or payments, and correct anything that looks wrong. Hisaab's totals and summaries are only as accurate as the entries behind them.

Your data and your choices

You own the records you keep in Hisaab. Keep a backup (More → Save or send backup), because data stored only on a phone can be lost if the phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled. Messages that Hisaab drafts, such as udhaar reminders, order replies and summaries, are sent by you, from your own WhatsApp or messaging app. You are responsible for what you send and to whom. How Hisaab handles personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Fair use

Use Hisaab only for your own records or your business's records, and only add information about other people (such as customers' names and numbers) when you are allowed to.

No guarantee

Hisaab is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, the makers of Hisaab are not liable for losses that come from relying on its records or calculations.

Changes and law
